Intent

At St Charles’ School, our aim is to develop children’s interest and enjoyment of science. By building on children’s curiosity, our science curriculum will ensure that children gain the knowledge and conceptual understanding through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics. The curriculum will develop pupils’ ability to pose questions, investigate these using correct techniques and accurately record their findings using appropriate scientific language. At St. Charles we want to ensure that all children are equipped with the scientific knowledge required to understand the uses and implications of science, today and for the future.
